I have been using white Eagle Holders for mounting and protecting my mid to high value raw coins since about 1987 not long after they first came to market. Compared to the other more common methods of mounting coins-other than having them slabbed-Eagle Holders are superior in almost every respect. I have yet to have a coin change color, get black spots or corrode when using Eagle Holders along with common sense storage conditions. The other advantages are obvious, the ability to see the entire coin, even the rims with crystal clarity, a tight virtually air tight seal around the coin and convienent size compared to slabs or air-tite holders. Thick inert mylar protects as well if not better than Whitman hard plastic holders, flips or 2x2s and when done properly won't allow the coin to move around in the holder even when accidentally dropped. One of the things I like about the white holders is being able to custom make my own laser labels with year, denomination, grade, metal/alloy and or variety etc. and trim them to fit in the correct area on the holder for a custom "mini-slab" look. no other holder protects so well and looks so good on the market that I have found. Many people wonder about the cost and time spent getting a collection into Eagle Holders which I respond by saying, how much do you value preserving your investment and having it look its very best? It is time well spent as the results are nothing but fantastic in my experinece in collecting for 30 years. Just an interesting story about the timeless quality of Eagle Holders, I was checking my stock of Eagle Holders to use on some recently aquired coins when I discovered a few of the unused original holders I originally purchased in the 1980s. While injection plastic molding has come a long way since then, they looked fine and went together just about as easily as the holders in the order I placed with you in July 2008. Even the 20+ year old mylar windows worked perfectly and had not degraded after being stored for so long-simply amazing! I can not recommend your holders more and I hope more savvy collectors discover their superior quality and value in the years to come.
